Restoration Robotics, Inc. (“Restoration Robotics”) is committed to protecting the privacy of users of the website located at www.restorationrobotics.com or any website owned, operated, licensed or controlled by us (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes how we gather, use and disclose and process information about visitors to our Site (“Visitors”) in accordance in accordance with applicable privacy laws including, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and other UK and European data privacy laws and applicable US privacy laws (the “Privacy Laws”).This Privacy Policy applies solely to the information that we collect through the Site. This Privacy Policy does not address personal data (as defined below) that you provide to us in other contexts (e.g., through a business relationship not handled through the Site).
Restoration Robotics collects your personal data to improve your overall user experience with us. We collect your personal data to fulfil our contractual obligations, our statutory obligations and/or the legitimate interests of Restoration Robotics and for other purposes for which Restoration Robotics has a lawful basis under the Privacy Laws.

Acceptance of Privacy Policy

By using the Site, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept those changes.

What Personal Data Do We Collect?

Restoration Robotics collects your personal data through the Site when you choose to provide such information, such as when you use the “Contact Us” page of the Site to send us a message, fill out a form on the Site, or learn about a job opportunity. “Personal data” means information we hold about you from which you can be identified or could reasonably be used to identify you. Personal data may be held in paper or electronic format or in another recorded form including photographs or video clips. Examples of personal data include your name, address, phone number, and/or email address, next of kin details, sickness, health or disability information, genetic data, biometric data, race, religious or philosophical beliefs, ethnicity, sexual orientation, trade union membership, marital status, criminal offences or political beliefs.

Resume Submission. If your personal data is submitted through the Site when applying for a position with Restoration Robotics, your personal data will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating and accepting you for the position. We may retain your personal data for a period of time, but only for the purpose of considering your application for current or future positions at Restoration Robotics or as necessary to comply with the law. This information may be shared within Restoration Robotics as well as with third parties contracted by us to assist Restoration Robotics with talent acquisition-related activities.

Restoration Robotics will take appropriate steps to ensure that such recipients act in accordance with the Privacy Laws.

If you are located in the European Union, please be aware that information we collect about you may be transferred to and processed outside of the European Union. By using the Site, or providing us with any information, you consent to the collection, processing, maintenance and transfer of such information in and to countries outside of the European Union (including the United States) in which the privacy laws do not provide a level of data protection equivalent to those in the country where you reside in accordance with the Privacy Laws.

Do We Disclose Any Personal Data to Outside Parties?
Unless you give us permission to do so, Restoration Robotics will not sell, rent, license, or trade your personal data other than as specified in this Privacy Policy. Any disclosures made to third parties will be in accordance with Privacy Laws.

Disclosures to Physicians. When you provide your email address or other contact information, with your consent, we may share that personal data with a physician who performs ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplant procedures, and that physician may contact you about your interest in ARTAS.

Disclosures to Third Parties Assisting In Our Operations. Restoration Robotics may share your personal data under confidentiality agreements with other companies that work with, or on behalf of, Restoration Robotics to provide products and services. These companies may use your personal data to assist Restoration Robotics in its operations. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

Group entities. We may share personal data with other group entities for any of the purposes set out above. Our group entities, in turn, are not permitted to share personal data with other non-affiliates entities, except as described herein or otherwise permitted by the Privacy Laws or other applicable laws.

Where personal data is processed by third parties outside the UK and EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to adequately protect it, as required by applicable law.

Disclosures Under Special Circumstances. We may provide information about you to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process or governmental regulations, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law.

Business Transfers. We may share your personal data with other business entities in connection with the sale, assignment, merger or other transfer of all or a portion of Restoration Robotics’ business to such business entity. We will require any such successor business entity to honor the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Automatically Collected Information and Anonymous Information
Each time a Visitor comes to the Site, Restoration Robotics collects some information to improve the overall quality of the Visitor’s online experience.

Aggregated Data. Restoration Robotics collects aggregate queries for internal reporting and also counts, tracks, and aggregates the Visitor’s activity into Restoration Robotics’ analysis of general traffic-flow at the Site. To these ends, Restoration Robotics may merge information about you into aggregated group data. The IP address enables our server to send you the web pages that you want to visit, and it may disclose the server owned by your Internet Service Provider. Restoration Robotics may use IP addresses to conduct Site analyses and performance reviews and to administer the Site.

Your privacy is very important to Restoration Robotics. We use industry-standard methods of securing electronic databases of personal data. Except as provided elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, we limit access to personal data in electronic databases to those persons in our organization who have a business need for such access. Response to “Do Not Track” Signals
Some Internet browsers include the ability to transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Since uniform standards for “Do Not Track” signals have not yet been adopted, Restoration Robotics does not process or respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
Children’s Privacy Protection

Under Age 13
Restoration Robotics understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy in the interactive online world. The Site is not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children under 13 years of age. It is not our policy to intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13. No one under the age of 13 should submit any personal data to Restoration Robotics or the Site.

Under Age 18
Minors under 18 years of age may have the Personal Information that they have provided to Restoration Robotics through the Site deleted by sending an email to [email protected] requesting deletion. Please note that, while we make reasonable efforts to comply with such requests, deletion of your personal information does not ensure complete and comprehensive removal of that data from all systems.

Updating or Deleting Your Personal Data
You may review and request changes to your personal data that Restoration Robotics has collected, including the removal of your personal data from Restoration Robotics’ databases, in order to prevent receipt of future communications using any of the following options:

Please note that, while we make reasonable efforts to comply with such requests, deletion of your personal data does not ensure complete and comprehensive removal of that data from all IT back-up and archival systems.

  • You may apply to review your personal data held by Restoration Robotics. All subject access requests must be made in writing to Restoration Robotics specifying the nature of your request. Restoration Robotics reserves the right to charge an administrative fee for such a request subject to applicable data privacy laws.

EU Privacy Rights
